Purpose of the Role:

We are seeking a motivated Business Development Consultant with a military background, ideally Army service, to help grow our business by building connections with organisations that provide support for veterans and service personnel. This role is key to expanding our network and delivering high-quality support to those affected by injury or negligence.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of military experience and commercial acumen, demonstrating empathy and discretion when dealing with sensitive matters. You will need excellent organisational skills and the ability to develop and manage professional relationships, providing clients with exceptional care and service.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Veteran Support: Offer guidance and assistance for veterans’ legal, rehabilitation, and financial needs.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing legal, healthcare, and associated panel members.
  • Training andamp; Development: Assist with the training and development programs for internal teams to better understand and support the needs of veterans.
  • Events andamp; Webinars: Attend company webinars and events to promote services and build connections.
  • Advisory Clinics: Deliver patient advisory clinics in the community and rehabilitation centres.
  • Signposting: Help direct clients to appropriate legal, rehabilitation, or financial services.
  • Marketing Input: Contribute ideas to the company’s marketing strategy, ensuring the needs of veterans are reflected.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Military Background: Experience in the Army or other branches of the military, with a deep understanding of the needs and challenges faced by veterans.
  • Client-Focused: Demonstrates high levels of client care, empathy, and professionalism in every interaction.
  • Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively, balancing both military expertise and business objectives.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to build and nurture professional relationships.
  • Commercial Awareness: A good understanding of business operations and the ability to apply military discipline to a business environment.
