Key Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance, repairs, and modifications to vehicles and trailers, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults.
- Operate workshop tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain accurate service records and complete technical documentation promptly.
- Uphold Health andamp; Safety standards in all workshop operations.
Candidate Requirements
- City andamp; Guilds qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Solid experience as an HGV Mechanic or in a similar heavy vehicle maintenance role.
- In-depth knowledge of HGV systems, trailers, and workshop equipment.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
- Desirable: HGV C+E Licence (Class 1) and current ADR certification.
