Mechanical Estimator Responsibilities:
- Support the estimating team with bids and tenders
- Prepare and submit cost estimates using estimating software
- Work with engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to develop accurate estimates
- Analyse drawings and specifications to determine costs
- Identify alternative design solutions and value engineering options
- Manage tendering processes and negotiations
- Maintain a directory of suppliers and subcontractors
- Mentor junior team members and monitor targets
- Organise and control tender documentation
Mechanical Estimator Requirements:
- Experience with a Mechanical andamp; Electrical subcontractor
- Proficiency in estimating software
- Strong budgeting and cost-planning skills
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
