We are seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to join a globally renowned defence and cyber security company in Cheltenham. What Will You Be Doing?
As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining mission-critical systems as they are rehosted into AWS. Your responsibilities will include:
- Administering Linux-based systems, databases, and applications
- Troubleshooting IP networking systems
- Automating system deployment and maintenance using Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management tools
- Driving innovation by continuously expanding your skills and obtaining relevant certifications
- Leading and mentoring teams, ensuring best practices in DevOps and cloud adoption
What Are We Looking For?
- Active enhanced DV clearance
- Strong experience in designing, deploying, and supporting Linux-based solutions using containerisation, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps tools
- Proven leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience in automating tasks using Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, or Python
- Hands-on experience with containers such as Docker or VMware
