Capgemini

The Story

Capgemini is a global leader in partnering with companies to transform and manage their business by harnessing the power of technology. The Group is guided everyday by its purpose of unleashing human energy through technology for an inclusive and sustainable future. With its strong 55-year heritage and over 360,000 employees and deep industry expertise, Capgemini is trusted by its clients to address the entire breadth of their business needs, from strategy and design to operations, fueled by the fast evolving and innovative world of cloud, data, AI, connectivity, software, digital engineering and platforms.

The Brief

Capgemini came to Searchability with a need to adapt their recruitment strategy to be more focused on creating a diverse and inclusive workforce. This meant covering a wide range of demographics, and pinpointing objectives initially focusing on females and non-binary candidates as a priority, as well as supporting candidates with Neurodiversity. This is something we are particularly passionate about at Searchability and so we felt well equipped to support these objectives. Capgemini required 30 + Software Engineers and 30 + Platform Engineers across the space of 1 year, with skills in Java, DevOps, and Consultancy.

The Delivery

We set KPIs and ensured that when presented with a diverse talent pool, our hiring managers were able to select purely on merit. This meant offering training and advice to hiring managers on how to interview without bias and discrimination.

We exhibited at Women in Business and Technology EXPO by Karen Brady. Networking with female representatives from Capgemini, allowing us to gain inside knowledge of women in tech. Whilst recently created a social media video on TikTok promoting International Women’s Day about standing up, coming together to #EmbraceEquity.

We adapted our recruitment process to fit with the hiring needs. Kelly (their Account Manager) conducted 1st stage interviews, not only speed up the process, but primarily to accommodate individuals doing school run etc. Candidates were given 25% extra time if they had dyslexia. As well as creating a tailored candidate journey including branded interview confirmation emails to include relevant company and employer proposition information for prospective candidates.

As Capgemini had a strong intention to increase females within the workplace, we aimed to pair female candidates with female interviewees so they the candidate knows it’s possible for them to achieve. As Capgemini’s Account Manager is Kelly she was able to assist with this process too.

Now we have placed over 100 candidates.
