Salary: £27,500 – £35,000 DOE
Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and motivated Drainage Engineer to join a well-established and growing team based in Hebburn. This full-time role involves hands-on work across a variety of drainage systems, using cutting-edge equipment and vehicles including jetting units, HGVs, and CCTV survey technology.
You’ll be working on a range of infrastructure and commercial projects across the region, supporting both routine maintenance and emergency callouts. This is a great role for someone who enjoys working outdoors, solving problems, and being part of a close-knit, supportive team.
Drainage Engineer Responsibilities
- Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clear and maintain drainage systems
- Use CCTV equipment for inspection and diagnosis of drainage issues
- Work with vacuum tankers and operate HGVs as required
- Handle equipment such as booms and vactors safely and effectively
- Complete digital site reports accurately via tablet devices
- Maintain a strong focus on health andamp; safety procedures on-site
- Assist with routine servicing and cleaning of vehicles and machinery
- Participate in the on-call rota for emergency response work
Drainage Engineer Requirements
- Valid CSCS card
- HPWJ (High Pressure Water Jetting) certification
- Confined Space certification
- Street Works accreditation
- Full UK driving licence (clean)
- Right to work in the UK
- Previous experience in drainage, jetting, or HGV operations preferred
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work well within a team
