Looking for a hands-on, high-impact role where every day brings a new challenge? We’re seeking an experienced HGV Driver who is equally comfortable tackling operational tasks. In this role, you’ll drive company vehicles, handle tanker duties, and support various groundworks and remediation efforts. If you have an eye for problem-solving and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves, we want you on our team.
HGV Operative Responsibilities:
- Tanker Driving: Operate company vehicles as an HGV Driver (Class 2), ensuring safe and efficient journeys.
- Water Jetting andamp; Spill Clean-Ups: Use high-pressure water jetting equipment for spill responses and thorough clean-ups.
- Groundworks andamp; Remedial Tasks: Assist with groundworks, remedial works, and tank uplifts on site.
- Installation andamp; Maintenance: Conduct installation, servicing, and inspections of tanks/interceptors.
- Emergency andamp; Industrial Duties: Provide support during spill responses, industrial cleaning, and emergency duty calls.
- Standards Training: Participate in training to meet national grid andamp; rail standards.
HGV Operative Requirements:
- Possession of a valid HGV Class 2 licence (ADR preferred, though not essential).
- Experience with RAMS documentation.
- Familiarity with Tacho systems and routine vehicle checks (training can be provided).
- A flexible, can-do attitude with a readiness for overtime and call-outs when required.
- Background in multi-skilled trade work; plant operation experience is a bonus.
- Willingness to work away from home when needed – with travel and hotel expenses covered.
