I’m Will Roebuck and I’m very proud to say I am now the Director of Searchability’s National Security and Defence arm. It’s been a crazy couple of years but how did we get here?
It all started when a few Contractors started falling into the National Security and Defence sector and that’s when I had the lightbulb moment. This was a market that Searchability hadn’t worked as a standalone area of recruitment, and clients and candidates within this sector were crying out for a different approach.
So, there’s no doubt about it, we’ve been hugely successful with Searchability NS&D so far. We work with the likes of Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin and Roke Manor, and have placed thousands of roles such SC Automation Tester, DV Cleared Lead Cyber Consultant, Risk Policy Specialist – DV Clearance and many more.
Back in October 2019, I was invited to share my insights at the Security Cleared EXPO in London, discussing how to make Security Clearance Clear, how to get Security Clearance and answering lots of questions from candidates and employers.
Since building such a niche talent pool in one of the most in demand skill sets for UK Government bodies, we were delighted to announce in January 2021 Searchability were selected to be Crown Commercial Suppliers to the Digital Outcomes and Specialists 5 framework.
The Digital Outcomes and Specialists 5 framework is designed to help the public sector buy, design, build and deliver bespoke digital solutions and services. “Our Digital Outcomes and Specialists agreement continues to facilitate our customers’ digital transformation while also creating opportunities for suppliers of all sizes.”
Our position as a CCS supplier in this sector means that we are able to source technical candidates for security cleared roles for varying government bodies, including the MoD, Home Office, DWP, Cabinet Office, NHS Trusts, Local Councils and many more.
Finally this has allowed us to constantly grow, and with that we have evolved into a standalone arm of the Searchability Group, moved to shiny new offices in Manchester City Centre, and are steadily expanding our NS&D recruitment team!
