ABOUT THE CLIENT:
My client is a leading education trust is seeking a First Line IT Technician to support schools in delivering effective IT services. This hands-on role will involve working across several school sites within the cluster, ensuring that technology runs smoothly, resolving IT issues, and supporting both students and staff in their day-to-day IT needs.

THE 1st LINE SUPPORT TECHNICIAN ROLE:

  • Provide practical IT support to multiple schools, ensuring the infrastructure supports educational goals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues, escalating to 2nd/3rd Line support when necessary.
  • Install hardware and software across school sites.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of IT networks and services.
  • Engage with end users, ensuring best practice in the use of IT resources.
  • Carry out small to medium IT projects as required.

1ST LINE SUPPORT TECHNICIAN – ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Strong technical skills with a keen interest in new technology.
  • Experience in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Proficient in using technology, including PC, internet, and Microsoft Office packages.
  • Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.
  • A customer-focused approach with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and work effectively within a team.
  • Full UK Driving License and access to own transport are essential.
