Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that Projects are completed for our clients with a high level of customer service and within the originally scope timelines.
  • Keeping calm under pressure and maintaining excellent communication with stakeholders at all levels while taking ownership of and progressing projects.
  • Support and Installation of line of business applications and bespoke developed software packages.
  • Support and Installation and configuration of printers, scanners, and other peripherals and network equipment.
  • Support and Installation and configuration of servers
  • Onboarding of existing 365 tenants and review and remediation of any inherited issues.
  • Creation of new 365 tenants in accordance with best practice.
  • Supporting the Support Desk Sales team to ensure clients have a positive everlasting relationship.
  • Liaising with suppliers and third-party IT companies to gather important information required to complete Projects.
  • Updating our internal knowledge management systems with all information gathered or changed during activities.
  • Creating and providing handover document for Helpdesk
  • Understanding and analysing business requirements from a functional perspective and efficiently translating these requirements into the relevant technical scope where the task requirement is unclear.

Role Expectations

As the primary customer facing point of contact, Project Engineers need to convey confidence and understanding whilst projects and dealing with any issues arising.

Project engineers are expected to be focused on the business requirements of the customer and alert to timescale demands and priorities and keen to take ownership of issues which arise.

Project tasks are to be kept up to date with work done to allow transfer of work between colleagues to be done without hinderance.

Engineers are expected to have a good sense of prioritisation and sound, security-focussed decision making.

Engineers are expected to take an active part in managing their wellbeing at work by taking regular breaks, maintaining an ergonomic working environment, using appropriate stress management techniques and seeking help if needed to maintain an effective work-life balance.

All staff are expected to cultivate positive relationships with colleagues and practice effective communication to promote a supportive and collaborative work environment.
