About the Client:
They are a leading Technology and Software firm in the Hospitality Sector who are currently incorporating some very exciting technological solutions to the industry, including Robot Waiters, AI Checkouts and Facial Verification. Serving over 1,000 clients across the UK using a unique, generational customer profiling approach. Due to an increase in demand from their clients they are now looking for an IT Server Administrator to maintain their Azure services.
The Role:
As an IT Server Administrator you will be proactive and play a key role in the configuration, maintenance, optimisation, and management of their Azure services to ensure optimal performance and availability.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and maintain server infrastructure, including virtual servers.
- Install, configure and update server operating systems and apps.
- Monitor system performance, diagnose issues, and implement fixes.
- Manage user access, permissions and server security to ensure data integrity.
- Perform regular backups and implement disaster recovery procedures to protect critical data.
- Work with the IT team to plan and execute system upgrades and improvements.
- Ensure the server is compliant with organisational policies and industry standards.
- Document system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting processes.
- Provide support for escalated IT tickets to any server related issues.
Key Skills andamp; Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience in server administration
- Strong expertise in server operating systems (Windows Server andamp; Linux).
- Proficiency in virtualisation technologies (VMware andamp; Hyper-V).
- Experience managing Azure Cloud services, virtual machines, and disaster recovery plans.
- Familiarity with networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and firewalls.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to write and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell andamp; Bash).
