We are thrilled to announce that Searchability have been shortlisted for special recognition at Best Companies Awards 2022, scoring in the Top 10 for organisations in their Small Company category for the Learning & Development special awards!
The value of knowledge and competence is high on the agenda at Searchability. The foundation of our L&D planning is to undertake six monthly “Master Plan” discussions for all employees. The aim of the personal plans is to understand what every individual employees career aspirations are for the next 12 months.
The launch of our Searchability Campus for Trainee Recruiters in 2021 has also enabled quicker career progression. To date, 37 Trainee Recruiters have attended the campus. Of those 37, 75% have achieved promotion and a salary increase through our transparent career progression matrix! Following each campus we seek feedback from the cohort and refresh the programme based on employee input. The campus sessions are carried out by the MD, Director of People & Culture, Brand Director and other experienced managers. Having a broader range of voices has boosted awareness, knowledge and development of both trainee and trainers. This also immerses all those involved into our recognition and learning culture.
Training and Development is monitored at all levels through our mentor programme. This is managed on an individual basis with one to one meetings held with a Director. This may encompass weekly or monthly meetings dependent on the needs of each employee. Our mid management is at the heart of Searchability. They are champions of our culture and drive our L&D messages home. The campus training builds the foundation of knowledge, but for each individual we ensure one to one training with their manager is adaptable and personalised.
In September 2022 we ran resilience training as part of our monthly #ThirdThursday wellbeing initiative. All attendees reported that they had immediately benefitted from the training. We plan to build on this training and run further sessions through 2023.
In addition to our in house training we invite external recruitment trainers in, who run bespoke training for all levels of the recruitment team. This ensures a refresh of knowledge for all employees, no matter how experienced they are.
We have our fingers crossed that Searchability will bring home the award for the hard work we’ve been putting in!
